Glide Invest FAQ: What is eKYC? Why is my investment limited to Rs. 50000?

What is eKYC? Why is my investment limited to Rs. 50000?

KYC, or Know your customer, is the process of identifying a customer with a goal of detecting and avoiding fraud in financial transactions. It is legally binding to financial institutions including banks and NBFC’s. As per UIDAI, eKYC is a paperless Know Your Customer (KYC) procedure, wherein the identity and address of the user are verified electronically through Aadhaar authentication.

As per SEBI, eKYC customers are limited to investments of Rs. 50,000 per mutual fund per financial year. If your KYC indicates that you are eKYC verified, we will limit your transactions to the limit set by SEBI.  In order to increase your investment limit, you will need to complete your full KYC.

To convert from eKYC to full KYC, we request you to visit your nearest CAMS or KARVY centres and get your KYC updated.  Please click on the links below to find the centre nearest to you.
Please intimate us once you receive confirmation from them about your updated KYC status. We will re-verify your records from our end and move you to the next stage of getting investment ready!
